A mortice lock is one fitted into a slot in the edge of the door.Most insurance companies and the police now recommend 5-lever locks, although many doors are currently fitted with inadequate, lower security 2- or 3-lever locks.

Upgrading your security is easy, as most mortice locks have 2.5in or 3in case sizes, so older locks can be replaced by new 5-lever ones.

Deadbolt can be operated from either side by key using a euro profile 6 pin cylinder
